Ghana’s Moliy Drags Nigeria’s Zinoleesky on X After Being Called a “2-Hit Wonder”
The Ghana–Nigeria rivalry has once again spilled onto social media — this time between singers Moliy and Zinoleesky.
It all began when a music charts account on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that Moliy’s upcoming single “Body Go” would feature Nigerian artist Zinoleesky.
Moliy, clearly amused, responded to the post with a one-word quote: “Who?”
Her response didn’t sit well with Zinoleesky, who fired back by labeling her a “two-hit wonder”, saying she’s only known for one song while the other is barely recognized.
But Moliy didn’t hold back either. She replied, saying she’s glad Zino knows her music, adding that the people who actually know her are global superstars.
“The ones who know me are the big ones,” she subtly posted, referencing her collaborations with Amaarae, Shenseea, Sean Paul, and Skillibeng.
A fan then resurfaced an old clip of Zinoleesky vibing to Moliy’s “Shake It to the Max” challenge — a track that’s already amassed over 1 billion streams on Spotify.
In comparison, Moliy currently boasts 14.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, while Zinoleesky has 2.3 million.
She later threw another subtle jab, hinting that if Zino ever wanted a feature, he should “pay the price instead of going through corners.”
The online exchange quickly reignited the friendly rivalry between Ghanaians and Nigerians, with fans from both sides passionately defending their favorites.
