Pastor Goes Viral After Performing Deliverance on a Black Cat During Church Service
It seems some churches have taken deliverance sessions to a whole new level — from praying for people to casting out “demons” from animals.
A viral video making rounds on social media shows a pastor stopping his church service midway to perform a deliverance on a black cat.
Black cats have long been associated with superstition and mystery, often believed by some to carry evil spirits. However, seeing one brought into a church for “spiritual cleansing” has left many netizens puzzled.
According to eyewitnesses, the pastor halted the sermon, lifted the black cat with his left hand, and held a cross firmly in his right. He reportedly began praying fervently, commanding what he described as an “unclean spirit” to leave the animal.
At one point, the pastor claimed that the spirit had exited the cat and moved to a nearby wall in front of him — a statement that sparked laughter and disbelief among some members of the congregation.
While some religious followers praised his “bold act of faith,” others criticized it as unnecessary drama. Many social media users accused the pastor of using theatrics to attract attention, calling it a publicity stunt rather than genuine spiritual work.
Critics also argued that such incidents give non-believers more reason to mock Christianity, while defenders of faith insist that “deliverance can take any form,” even if it involves animals.
The incident has reignited the long-standing debate about modern-day prophets and their controversial methods of ministry.
