Award-winning Nigerian actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about a life-threatening experience she endured earlier this year while in the United Kingdom.
In an emotional post shared on Instagram, the actress revealed that she underwent an emergency surgery in June 2025, describing it as one of the most traumatic experiences of her life.
A Near-Death Experience
Adesua, who was in the UK with her husband Banky W and their son, explained that the family had traveled for ministry work, with speaking engagements lined up in London and Manchester.
Although she chose not to go into specific details about what led to the surgery, she made it clear that the ordeal had a profound emotional and spiritual impact on her.
“It was life-changing — not because of the trauma itself, but because of how it deepened my faith,” she shared.
