A Nigerian man has gone viral after sharing an emotional story about his cousin who ended her marriage over infidelity but later regretted her choice.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he explained that his cousin abruptly ended her five-year marriage after catching her husband cheating. Despite repeated pleas from relatives urging her to forgive him, she left the marriage with her two children and vowed never to return.
Starting Over — and Falling Again
He revealed that the husband spent several months seeking forgiveness, even visiting family elders to beg for reconciliation, but she remained firm in her decision. She soon rented her own apartment and started a new chapter of her life.
Eventually, she began dating a married man who treated her with love and attention, something she claimed had been missing in her marriage. But her newfound happiness didn’t last long — the man’s wife eventually discovered the affair and ended it, leaving her heartbroken once again.
