After 2023 marathon, man set to trek again from Port Harcourt–Lagos in 5 days to prove doubters wrong

A determined Nigerian man, Promise Wosu Junior, has vowed to trek from Port Harcourt to Lagos within five days, boldly challenging anyone who doubts him to stake ₦50 million on his failure.

Determined to Silence His Doubters

Promise, a native of Omudioga in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, said his goal is to prove that his previous long-distance trek in 2023 was legitimate. That year, he journeyed on foot from Lagos to Port Harcourt, aiming to set a Guinness World Record.

However, despite successfully completing the challenge, technical lapses in adhering to Guinness’ official guidelines reportedly cost him the certification, prompting many to question his achievement.

The ₦50 Million Dare

Now, Promise is throwing down the gauntlet with a new public challenge. He directly called out a Facebook user, Brian Dennis, who had openly cast doubt on his earlier feat. To prove his commitment, Promise declared that if he fails to complete the Port Harcourt-to-Lagos trek within five days, he would forfeit ₦50 million—if his critics are brave enough to take the bet.
