Father of Late Arise TV Reporter, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, Rejects Suicide Claim — Insists She Was Murdered
The father of late Arise TV journalist, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, has expressed deep doubts about the official account of his daughter’s death, alleging that she was murdered and did not jump from a storey building as earlier reported.
Engr. Ifeanyi Maduagwu, in a recent interview, dismissed reports that his daughter died while attempting to escape an armed robbery attack at her home in the Katampe area of Abuja in September.
“My daughter could never have jumped from a storey building,” he said, firmly rejecting the notion that fear drove her to take her own life.
Speaking with BBC Igbo, the grieving father insisted that the version of events being circulated doesn’t align with his daughter’s character, emphasizing that something about the story doesn’t add up.
Engr. Maduagwu maintained that his daughter’s death was not accidental but a deliberate act, calling on authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the truth.
