Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has sparked conversation online after openly declaring that she neither attends church nor pays tithe, choosing instead to dedicate her money to helping the less privileged.
According to her, she believes true service to God is shown through acts of kindness, not just through offerings to churches or pastors.
“I don’t go to church and I don’t pay tithe,” she stated, adding that she spends no less than ₦1.5 million monthly cooking for the poor and homeless — which she considers her personal form of tithing.
Sarah explained that her continuous charitable efforts have brought her countless blessings, emphasizing that she finds fulfillment in directly touching lives rather than following conventional religious routines.
It will be recalled that she recently made headlines in Lagos after being chased away while cooking for the needy on the streets — an incident that unexpectedly led to her receiving a ₦20 million gift in support of her humanitarian work.
