A Nigerian man has stirred widespread discussion online after voicing concern over the way some men in the country react to decent and attractive women.

Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), the man criticized the tendency of certain men to become overly excited or behave irrationally whenever they encounter women who are modestly dressed yet beautiful.
His remarks came in response to a viral video showing a young girl helping her mother at a market. The clip drew unexpected attention from men who began asking for her bank account details, claiming they wanted to send her money simply because of her looks.
“It’s perfectly fine for beautiful women to live normal lives and do ordinary jobs,” he wrote. “The way some Nigerian men act around decently dressed, good-looking girls is truly unsettling.”
The post has since sparked debate about respect, boundaries, and societal attitudes toward women in Nigeria.
