Annie Idibia Radiates Positivity Amid Divorce Drama

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay Idibia is proving that nothing can dim her shine, even after her split from legendary singer 2Baba.

The mother of two took to Snapchat to share a playful video of herself dancing, revealing that she has been hooked on a particular song that has lifted her mood.

“This song just dey sweet my body anyhow!! No work today, baby. This dance wey I no fit… I must learn am today o,” she wrote.

Fans quickly reacted to the clip:

  • “It’s not from deep down her heart. But it’s good to try to be happy. That’s the least you can do for yourself,” one user commented.

  • “Annie is high,” another teased.

  • “Anything that will make you happy, do it Annie. We are rooting for you,” wrote a supporter.

  • “Keep dancing!! Happiness is free,” another fan cheered.

Just a day earlier, Annie had penned a heartfelt note to herself, praising her strength and resilience.

As a reminder, in January, 2Baba publicly announced his separation from Annie and has since remarried Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru. In response, Annie wiped her Instagram clean and later expressed gratitude to her support system for standing by her during the tough period.

Since then, the actress has been intentional about living fully. She’s devoted much of her energy to her daughters, often calling them her “backbone.” At the Headies Awards in April, she publicly celebrated them as her greatest source of strength.

Annie has also opened up about her hopes for future relationships, saying she wants a partnership where both parties grow “hotter, healthier, happier, and wealthier together,” while cherishing the little things.

Recently, she was spotted partying with celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry, embracing what she called her “soft life era”—one defined by joy and healthy boundaries.

The actress has also dropped cryptic posts hinting at her healing journey. She expressed hope that her daughter never tolerates what she once did and always knows her worth. In another subtle jab, she excluded 2Baba from a list of “great dads” she shared on Instagram, instead tagging the likes of Peter Okoye and Cole Peter.

Through it all, Annie has continued to remind fans that while life may change, happiness remains a choice—and she’s choosing hers loudly.
