Media personality and former OAP, Toke Makinwa, has shared an intimate look into her daughter’s beautifully designed nursery, leaving fans in awe.
Posting a video on Instagram, the proud new mum revealed she had long envisioned the space and was grateful for the grace to finally bring it to life. Toke explained that she wanted the nursery to exude warmth, comfort, and a modern aesthetic—and she credited her decorators for perfectly capturing her dream.
“My baby Yakira Eliana… I’ve dreamed of this for so long. I wanted it to feel warm, cosy, and very modern. The ceiling steals my heart every time, the gender-neutral tones, everything just dreamy as I imagined,” she wrote.
Back in August, Toke welcomed her first child, a daughter named Yakira Eliana, at age 40. Since then, she has often reflected on her journey to motherhood, describing it as deeply healing and transformative.
Marking Yakira’s one-month milestone, she shared how the little one had mended the brokenness she carried since childhood, calling her baby a source of joy, love, and restoration.
On her podcast, Toke tearfully revealed that she had prayed to God to become a mother by 40—a prayer that was answered almost immediately, as she got pregnant the month after her milestone birthday.
Now embracing her new role, the lifestyle entrepreneur says motherhood has reshaped her outlook on life, keeping her grounded and grateful.
