Nigerian singer Paul Okoye and his wife, Ifeoma, have expressed gratitude to the public after celebrating their daughter’s milestone first birthday.
A day earlier, Kemi Filani reported that the couple’s first child together had turned one. To mark the occasion, Paul shared enchanting photos of the little one dressed in a fairytale outfit, calling her his “sunshine.”
Ifeoma also penned an emotional tribute to her daughter, recalling how a year ago she didn’t know what awaited her in the labour room but was certain of one thing—her deep love for her baby girl.
The proud parents hosted a fairytale-themed birthday party with close family and friends in attendance. After the celebration, they shared more adorable photos of their daughter on Instagram and thanked fans for their kind wishes, writing:
“Still your day, Imama @imani_okoye. Thank y’all for all your wonderful messages.”
Paul and Ifeoma welcomed their daughter in the United States last October. At the time, Paul shared a touching video of his older children meeting their baby sister for the first time, describing the moment as one of the sweetest periods of his life.
To celebrate the birth, Paul reportedly gifted Ifeoma a Range Rover SUV as a push present, while also acquiring a second home in the US—sparking speculation it was for her. In January, the couple dedicated their daughter to God at Elevation Church in Lagos, joined by family members including Paul’s brother, Jude Okoye, though his twin, Peter, was notably absent.
Marking Mother’s Day this past March, Ifeoma celebrated her daughter’s six-month milestone with heartfelt photos and thanksgiving, declaring that “God is good.”
It’s worth remembering that Paul traditionally married Ifeoma in her hometown of Igbere, Abia State, in a private ceremony attended by close family.
