Ngozi Nwosu Speaks on Painful Past

Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has opened up about her difficult marriage, revealing how she endured domestic violence even before walking down the aisle.

In a heartfelt chat with fellow actress Ayo Adesanya, Nwosu recounted the emotional turmoil she faced leading up to her wedding — and why she still went ahead with the union.

“He Beat Me Before the Wedding”

Ngozi Nwosu shared that she had already begun experiencing physical abuse from her late husband while they were still engaged.
At one point, she made up her mind to end the relationship, convinced that love shouldn’t hurt.

However, her elder sister persuaded her to stay, telling her to be patient and assuring her that marriage would calm him down.

“My sister told me he would change after marriage. She said I should just be patient,” Ngozi revealed.
“I listened to her and went ahead with the wedding. But instead of getting better, things got worse.”
